As summer slowly slips away, and the music and alfresco festiv als have dismantled their seasonal gazebos to make room for the fallen leaves lacing our London streets. But it’ll take more than a chilly autumnal breeze to keep us Smiths from venturing out to savour the gastronomic delights of the very first London Restaurant Festival (8-13 October) that kicked off  today under blissful sunny skies. Tickle tastebuds at the festival’s hub in Covent Garden, and celebrate the capital’s culinary credentials by staying at the Covent Garden Hotel , right at the centre of the swinging London actio n and a hop and a skip from some of the hundreds of restaurants compiling special menus for this festive foodie cause.
